_______________________________________________________________

Just as you were you will always be,

Treasured forever in my memory.

To meet you again on that beautiful shore,

Where parting’s unknown and life evermore.

Tenderly I treasure the past,

With memories that will always last.

Gone are the days we used to share,

But in my heart you are always there.

Just a memory, fond and true,

From me who thought the world of you.

Happy memories silently kept,

Life goes on but I will never forget.

Deep in my heart you will always stay,

Loved and remembered every day.

To be together in the same old way,

Would be my dearest wish today.

Wherever I go, whatever I do,

In my heart I think of you.

Thinking of you day by day,

Miss you more than words can say.

A last goodbye you didn’t say,

But in my heart you will always stay.

We shall meet again in Heaven above,

Until then dear Dad I send my love.

One of the best that God could send,

A wonderful father right to the end.

Those I love don’t walk away,

They walk beside me every day.

Your presence I miss, your memories I treasure,

I’ll love you always, forget you never.

A Mass and a prayer is all I can give,

And that will continue as long as I live.

Though absent you are always near,

Still loved, still missed and very dear.

In Heaven you rest, no worry, no pain,

God bless you till we meet again

As you rest in peaceful sleep,

Your memory I will always keep.

Treasured memories like a golden chain,

Link us till we meet again.

Never more than a thought away,

Loved and remembered every day.

Treasured memories, a silent tear,

Always wishing you were here.

My thoughts of you will never stray,

Because I remember you every day.

Resting where no shadows fall,

Lovingly remembered by us all.

I miss you more than words can say,

Memories of you will always stay.

No one knows the heartache,

Of what your parting cost,

But God above in Heaven,

Has gained what I have lost.

Memories are keepsakes no one can steal,

Partings are heartaches no one can heal.

Time cannot heal the heartache,

Or stop the falling tears,

Or take away the memories

Of the one I loved so dear.

If memories bring us closer,

We are never far apart,

God has you in his keeping,

I have you in my heart.

Fill his arms with roses, Lord,

And when you see him smile,

Tell him that I miss him,

And love him all the while.

Cherished memories kept forever,

Of happy years we spent together.

I’ve lost my life’s companion,

A life linked with my own,

Only God knows how I miss him,

As I go through life alone.

Your life was love and labour,

Your love for family true,

You did your best for all of us,

That’s how we remember you.

You are not just a memory,

Or part of the past,

You are mine to remember,

For as long as life lasts.

Sleep on dear father,

Free from pain,

Would not wake you,

To suffer again.

The Golden Gates were open,

A gentle voice said ‘Come’,

With farewells left unspoken,

Jesus called you home.

When all my toils are over,

My suffering and my pain,

We’ll meet at that eternal home,

And never part again.

Locked in my heart my memories are kept,

Of my darling I loved too much to forget.

Loving and kind in all his ways,

Upright and just to the end of his days,

Sincere and true in heart and mind,

A beautiful memory he left behind.

Memory Lane is a lovely place,

Where thoughts are fond and true,

Again and again I follow that lane,

Just to be with you.

Time cannot dim the face I loved,

The voice I heard each day,

The many things you did for me,

In your kind and loving way.

You were lent to me for just a little while,

And charmed me with your love,

Then God took you gently to dwell with Him above.

Sad and sudden was the parting,

Taken home without a sigh,

He never knew his life was ending,

Because he never said goodbye.

If all the world was mine to give,

I’d give it, yes and more,

To see the face of this my love,

Come smiling through the door.

Don’t take for granted, but love while you may,

My dearest wish would be to have my love here today,

God bless, sleep well I’m sad,

I lost the only love I ever had.

God looked around his garden,

And saw an empty space,

He looked down from Heaven,

And saw your tired face,

He put his arms around you,

And whispered “Come with me”.

There was no time to say goodbye,

You said farewell to none,

The heavenly gates were open wide,

And a gentle voice said “come”.

I cannot hold the hand of time,

Or live again the past,

But in my heart are memories,

That will forever last.

You had so many pleasant ways,

You were so good and true,

As long as life and memories last,

I will always remember you.

I hold you close within my heart,

And there you will remain,

To walk with me throughout my life,

Until we meet again.

Forgive me my dearest, if I still cry,

Why was it you who had to die,

Others have lost their loves I know,

But you were mine and I loved you so.

A Dad is wonderful, so is the name,

Without one to love, life isn’t the same,

But as long as I live I shall always be glad,

To treasure the memories of the Dad that I had.

I love you and miss you more each year,

And wish that you were here,

All my life I wonder why,

Thorns live on but roses die.

When I am sad and lonely and everything goes wrong,

I always hear you whisper, cheer up and carry on,

And when I see your picture, you seek to smile and say,

Don’t cry, I am only sleeping, we’ll meet again one day.

It’s sad to walk the road alone instead of side by side,

But to all there comes a moment when ways of life divide,

You gave me years of happiness, also sorrow and tears,

But you left me lovely memories of many happy years.

Always so loving, unselfish and kind,

Few on this earth his equal to find,

One of the best God could send,

A loving person right to the end.

Deep in my heart there’s a picture,

Worth more than silver or gold,

It’s the picture of my loved one,

Whose memory will never grow old.

I hear your voice on the soft night air,

For we had a love beyond compare,

You live in my heart and walk by my side,

Even from heaven you still are my guide.

God saw you getting tired, when a cure was not to be,

He closed his arms around you and whispered “come to me”,

So keep your arms around him, Lord, and give him all the care,

Make up for all he suffered and all that seemed unfair.

For the rest of my life I shall always be glad,

So thankful to God for the love that I had,

I always loved him, I always will,

He was part of my heart no one can fill.

I would rather have the thoughts of you,

To keep within my heart,

Than all the glories of this world,

In which you have no part,

In dreams I see your smiling face,

And kiss your soft sweet brow,

But in my heart I know,

I have no father now,

You are always in my thoughts,

Your love is still my guide,

And though I cannot touch your hand,

I know you are by my side.

To Thy tender keeping, Jesus, I consign,

My loved one and leave him in thine arms divine,

For I know most surely he who sleeps in thee,

Is alive forever, never gone can be,

Grant him peace eternal and perpetual light,

Keep my loved one ever in thy blessed sight.
